Sugar House Archives & Shred offers the best option for those who want to drop off their confidential material. No job is too small or too large for Sugar House Archives & Shred. Whether you have one box of confidential documents or an entire truckload, we look forward to servicing you!

Sugar House Archives & Shred drop off shredding service meets the needs of the self employed or any residential customer. We recommend shredding your unnecessary bank statements, invoices, utility bills and miscellaneous private information. These sensitive documents are often thrown in the garbage or the recycle bin. This is risky, potentially dangerous behavior. Residential customers are welcome to bring there material in boxes, plastic totes, or plastic bags it is your choice.
 
Our residental customers can either drop off their collected material at our facility, or schedule a
secure shredding appointment at their location.

How much does it cost?

Paper Shredding:
For our drop off paper shredding service there is a minimum charge of $25.00. This will shred up to 250 pounds of material. A standard letter legal size record box commonly know as a banker box (about the size of a copier paper box) will hold on average between 30 to 40 pounds of material. Additional material will be charged at $.10 a pound.

Computer Hard Drive Destruction: For our drop off computer hard drive destruction service there is a minimum charge of $25.00. This will destroy up to 3 hard drives. Every hard drive over the minimun charge is $7.00 per hard drive.

Electronic Media Device Destruction:  For our drop off electronic media device destruction service there is a minimum charge of $25.00. This will shred up to 25 pounds of material. Addional matieral will be charged at $1.00 per pound. Includes cd's, dvd's magnetic tapes, x-rays, microfiche, microfilm, credit cards, audio and video tapes.

How does it work?
Simply bring your sensitive materials to Sugar House Archives & Shred's shredding facility and come into our office.  A Sugar House Archives & Shred office staff member will direct you to our document receiving area. One of our customer care representative will bring a mobile locking security shred bin to your vehicle to receive your material. (We do all the heavy lifting.)  The mobile security shred bin will then be locked in front of you. The material is weighed and then staged for shredding which will normal take place within 24 hours.  We can upon your request, even provide a Certificate of Destruction for your records in the event you are ever audited.

If you would like to view the shredding of your material, please call our office and we will be happy to set an appointment for you. (To view the shredding of the documents there is an additional charge of $15.00.

Do I have to remove staples and paper clips?
No, our state of the art shredding equipment handles staples and paper clips with ease.  Report covers, hard bound books, cd's, dvd's, magnetic tapes, x-rays, microfiche, microfilm, credit cards, audio and video tapes are no problem.
